EXORBITANT SCHOOL FEES FACILITATING SCHOOL DROPOUT

The Prime Minister of Uganda Rt. Hon. Robinnah Nabanja, has expressed has dismay at the habit of skyrocketing the school dues which has increased school dropout and poor performance among government aided schools.

Prime Minister Nabanja highlighted this during the installation of the Archdeacon and inauguration of Kikangahara Archdeaconry in Kibaale district which was curved from Kakumiro archdeaconry in Bunyoro Kitara Diocese.

The function was characterized with fundraising drive which yielded over 38 million shillings from different Member of Parliament, local leaders and well-wishers including donation of 15 million shillings from Nabanja

The Bunyoro Kitara diocesan Bishop Samuel Kawuma led the service as well as the function of installation of the archdeacon and inauguration of Kikangahara archdeaconry amidst great joy by thousands of people at Buyanja cell Kibaale town council Kibaale district. Kikangahara Archdeaconry made up of six parishes has been curved from Kakumiro archdeaconry Bunyoro Kitara diocese. He further challenged the newly installed archdeacon Venerable Rev George Hope Kiiza and other religious leaders to embrace harmony with political leaders for the entire wealth and development on top of strengthening faith.

Gracing the same function Finance Minister Matia Kasaija called for mutual cooperation among religious leaders and government for spiritual and social-economic transformation. He also donated 5million shillings towards church activities.

Different parliamentarians led by Hon Noeline Kisembo Basemera the Woman MP Kibaale who was also the chief organizer donated 2M as Dr Emely Kugonza, representing Buyanja East County donated 4M among others MPs pledging to continuously support the works of God for steady progress.

Other dignitaries present at the function included the LC5 Chairperson Kibaale Muhonge Godfrey Kasanga, John Katotoroma-CAO Kibaale, Esther Tumusiime Adeke-DPC Kibaale, George William Bizibu the Board Secretary DAPCB different religions among other.
