Kibaale District Chairperson Godfrey Muhonge Kasanga has urged the Parish Development Model implementers to ensure active participation in the program so as to help the beneficiaries acquire funds in abundance. Muhonge made the call while addressing the CDOs, DEC and other Technical Members during a one day training that was held in the Council Hall at the District Headquarters yesterday. He also advised the implementers to encourage the beneficiaries to stay hopefully since the process of receiving the funds has been shortened.

John Katotoroma the Chief Administrative Officer Kibaale announced Kibaale was a singled out district among the pilot districts in PDM program where they are going to launch PDM when President arrives for NRA Party celebrations in Kakumiro however, assuring the beneficiaries too that the funds will be released before the end of March 2023.

Parish Development Model trainers of trainees say that lack of field facilitation, consistent changes in the program, and delayed disbursement of funds to the beneficiaries among others which they say has led to hopelessness among beneficiaries in the program. According to trainers since the program was launched they have never been facilitated in fields whereby noting that they have been using personal funds to sensitize beneficiaries as well funds have been delayed to be disbursed among beneficiaries among other concerns. 

Dr. Charles Kajura the Head of Production Hoima from the Regional Offices noted that, the funds will be released as soon as beneficiaries organize in time, patience among beneficiaries and adhere to the current situation so as to benefit from the program.  However, during Dr. Kajura’s presentation, he instructed the focal person and other concerned authorities to commence the parish trainings among beneficiaries.He adds that the last date of beneficiaries to at least receive funds must not be beyond 1st March this year.
