EXTENSION WORKERS WARNED

Bunyoro Affairs Minister Jenipher Namuyungu has cautioned extension workers in Kibaale over non-performance.

 

This was during a district Baraza that was organized by the office of RDC in conjunction with the office of the Prime Minister and held at Bwamiramira Sub County headquarters with the aim of assessing and making accountability on service delivery for 2021/2022 FY. Namuyangu said that it has been discovered that most Sub County Agriculture extension workers are not performing their duties consequently asking them not to be surprised if the government dismisses their office.  

 

She also asked other departments including health, works, education, and others to perform their duties accordingly because they are key to development.

On the same function, heads of departments led by the CAO John Katotoroma gave out an accountability on what was done and what was not done using the over 31.6 Billion budget.

 

On this budget, out of Over 31.6 Billion, 30.2 Billion was received making 96% and this was the money that was used in different departments and over 800 Million was returned to treasury. 

 

Dr Emely Kugonza the Mp Buyanja East Constituency asked the Government to empower more the Natural Resource department by providing more funds because all these good programs by the government root on the good environment to be sustained.

 

Meanwhile Godwin Angalia the RDC Kibaale called onto the Minister to help with the opening of boundaries for Kagombe forest reserve because it has become a security matter in the district.
