Kibaale Launches Construction of Dormitory Block at Nyamarwa Seed SS
Kibaale district local government has today launched the construction of girl’s dormitory at Nyamarwa Seed School and another separate phase II construction project of a commercial building at the district headquarters. Early morning, they first launched the phase II construction works of commercial building at Kibaale district headquarters of over 394 million shillings being undertaken by TRACE MARK (U) LTD with a contract period of 6 months. The work scope includes installation of doors, windows, external and internal finishes, electrical installation and complete a restaurant wing among others. Later on, they district officials launched the construction of a girl’s dormitory at Nyamarwa Seed School in Nyamarwa Sun County of over 86.2 million shillings undertaken by FOUNTAIN HOLDINGS LTD at period of 6 months. Chrysostom Bagire the acting district engineer says the construction of girl’s dormitory will include substructure, superstructure walls and ring beam, roof structure and finishes, door, windows, external and internal finishes among others. While launching the mega projects, Kibaale Resident District Commissioner, Godwin Angalia Kasigwa warned against shoddy work insisting that he will supervise the works himself. Ronald Kamonde Segaruma the Head Teacher Nyamarwa Seed School says they have been facing challenges of insufficient space to accommodate the 100 girls enrolment in boarding section. Meanwhile, Ronald Kyeyune the contractor committed to deliver quality work. although the construction of girl’s dormitory at Nyamarwa Seed School was launched today, the actual on gound construction works commenced on 18th December last and currently the structure is at roofing level. The launching was graced by different stakeholders including Fred Matovu the NRM chairperson Kibaale, John Kyaboona the DEO Kibaale, DEC members, Peter Lugumba and Betty Namatovu the district councils among others.
