The Minister of Finance, Hon. Matia Kasaija joined Kibaale district leaders to launch the 60KM road works in Kibaale.

The road construction works are at an estimated value of over Ugx 2.7B and will be done across the district .  The function heard that the extended emergency periodic maintenance will for 5 community access roads including Kisega- Kasambya- Buhumi- Kikaada road 9.6KM that will cost over 438M and Kabasekende- Ngerebwe- Kaihamaino- Bakijurura- Rwamagando- Ruboona 12.0KM road worth over 641M; both contracted by MUGA Services LTD. 

Godfrey Muhonge Kasanga launched the construction of Nyamarunda- Nyanswiiga- Kahaara- Mbirizi- Kyanyi 8.0KM road contracted by AZU Properties LTD at a tune of over 316M, with the contract period of 6 months.

Buyanja East MP Dr Emely Kugonza together with RDC Godwin Angalia Kasigwa launched the construction works of Kaisekenkere- Kajuma- Wantema- Kayanja 14KM road estimated to cost over 626M and was contracted by TRESSMARK UG LTD and Kitoma- Kakindo- Rusandara- Mitujju at a tune of over 600M contracted by AZU Properties LTD.

Minister Kasaija urged the locals to utilize the given roads to increase production but warned the road users against using the roads recklessly which has led to increased road accidents urging the locals to maintain the roads by imploring burungi bwansi.

John Katotoroma the CAO Kibaale commended Minister Kasaija for his  leadership that has seen Kibaale develop in his reign with the implementation of various development projects.

The benefiting residents hailed Minister Kasaija for responding to their concerns stressing out they have been facing a lot of challenges in transporting their agricultural products, moving to and fro different service centres.
