The Kibaale district commercial department has kick started the exercise of profiling all moneylending institutions across the district in order to identify the legibility and mode of operation.

Sedrack Isingoma the senior commercial officer Kibaale, says the aim of profiling the moneylenders is to identify the legibility of the institution and mode of operation so as to reduce defaulters and those that are imposing high interest rates.

Isingoma urges the general public to save their money in a registered and recognized Saccos to avoid cases of embezzling funds by the group leaders and members.

Isingoma has however advised the public more especially mobile money agents and money lending businesses to be careful with robbers in this festive season urging them to close their businesses in appropriate time.
