Habib Abubakar the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer Kibaale has challenged the 6 youth groups that have received the 64.4M to invest the money into the initial proposed projects.
He made the remarks today during an interview with Journalists, stressing that it will be suicidal for the youth to divert the money into other ventures other than those they submitted while applying for the money, as it might affect returns in the long run thus affecting the group in paying the fund back.
While engaging with the beneficiaries, they pledged to invest the money right away, and hailed the government for the excellent work being done to improve the lives of the youth in Kibaale District.
According to Phillip Asiimwe the District YLP focal person 35 other groups that applied and were approved to receive the fund, will also receive along the way as more recovery of the money is being done. He however tasked those groups that are not required to withdraw the money at once, to invest the money into their projects following the planned schedule.
