Kibaale District Emyooga Sacco’s Receives the Audit Reports for the Two Fiscal Years Kibaale At least 30 Emyooga Sacco’s out of 36 have today received their audit reports for the two fiscal years of 2021-2023 and 2022-2023 that was conducted by MUDE and Company limited.
The audit reports were issued to the sacco leaders held at Bwamiramira Sub County community hall that was attended by the RDC Kibaale Godwin Angalia Kasigwa, officers from district commercial department among others. Billy Wobusoboozi auditor from MUDE and Company limited says out of 36 Emyooga sacco’s only 30 were audited and that the 6 Emyooga sacco’s failed to submit the requirements and limitation of scope. Wobusoboozi says the 6 Emyooga sacco’s that were not audited include, Buyanja saloon operators, Buyanja veterans, Buyanja East Boda bodas, Buyanja East Carpenters, Buyanja East mechanics and Buyanja East Journalists Emyooga sacco.
Edward Semanda the commercial officer Kibaale says the issuing out of audit reports for 2 fiscal years to 36 Emyooga Sacco’s, the commercial department is planning for permanent registration of all Emyooga Sacco’s. Semanda reveals that since the disbursement of Emyooga funds so far 1.5 billion funds have been disbursed to 1,777 benefited members and that the loan recovery rate stands at 27%.
Addressing the Sacco leaders, RDC Godwin Angalia Kasigwa says after receiving an audit report they are designing a road map to have annual general meeting for each Emyooga Sacco noting that everyone that took the money must pay it back.
